ACTOR SPOTLIGHT

As a professionally-trained actor from New York in the methods of Meisner, Adler, and Stanislavsky, I use their disciplines of character development, scene study, intentions, and emotional and fantasy memories as my cornerstone for fictional writing. These disciplines have shaped my writing skill into a solid understanding of the importance of character, plot, scene structure, relationships, triangles, and dialogue.

Climb inside the USS DRUM 228 and meet the men who served during 13 WWII combat missions. Relive its history as it unfolded aboard the world’s oldest Gato Class diesel submarine. The USS DRUM and her crew were the first to arrive at Pearl Harbor after the Japanese attack on 7 December 1941 and, later, outlasted a depth charge attack that critically cracked its hull. This 70-minute documentary features never before seen interviews with her crew who faced dangerous and unknown challenges – including death – and survived to tell about it.

It was September 1944 when one of the U.S. Navy’s wolf-pack submarines, U.S.S. SEAVIPER, received a covert order to rescue an American airplane crew that went down near Sumatra. While recovering the downed airplane survivors on a small nearby island, the U.S.S. SEAVIPER crew discovered Japanese and Germans together on the island. The Germans had a converted minelaying U-234 submarine as a long-range cargo sub that could travel across the Pacific Ocean which carried a cargo of crates marked U-235. The Germans were delivering the crates to the Japanese. Why was U-235 so important? And could SEAVIPER get the enemies’ plan back to SUBCOMPAC before it was too late?

One Zero Zero and Closing is a story of two U.S. veterans – Victor, a homeless Vietnam vet, and, Phillip, an injured Iraqi War vet. Victor lived alone on the streets of a large city and Phillip lived with his wife and daughter in a comfortable home. While on leave recovering from his combat injury, Phillip’s mother passed away. His father reluctantly revealed to him the long-held secret that he was adopted as a baby. The news shocked Phillip. But he knew he had to go and search for what was left of his lost family, if any. His journey led him to a stranger called Victor. The two men faced each other for the first time on a city park bench; each confronted a lost truth, a lost love, and renewed hope.

Crying Whispers is a story of a peculiar family whose adult members had difficulty relating to each other. Then one weekend, they all found themselves together at their father’s home. Each had their own reason for being there, and the inevitable disputes that arose between them revealed hidden schemes and troubles. They each had to find a way to adapt and behave rationally in order to resolve their differences but, unfortunately, not before the breaking point.
